About the Association

The REALTORS® of Punta Gorda-Port Charlotte-North Port-DeSoto Inc.® has a membership base of 1,500 REALTORS® and Business Partners servicing DeSoto County, areas of Charlotte County, and North Port. We take an active role in the community and offer numerous quality educational courses to help our members maintain a high level of expertise in their profession.

Our members can easily be identified by the registered collective membership trademark R®, which stands for the term REALTOR®. A REALTOR® is a real estate professional who is a member of the National Association of REALTORS® and who subscribes to its strict Code of Ethics.

Remember that whether you are buying or selling real estate, use a professional, use a REALTOR®.

History of the Association

The REALTORS® of Punta Gorda-Port Charlotte-North Port-DeSoto Inc.®, was chartered in 1946 as the Punta Gorda-Charlotte County Board of REALTORS® with three members and has grown to a membership of 1,500.

The local association of REALTORS® has a legacy of 70 years. The Association is a member of Florida REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®, which is the largest trade association in the United States, with more than 1 million members and over 1300 local Association of REALTORS® nationwide.

Mission Statement

The Mission of the REALTORS® of Punta Gorda-Port Charlotte-North Port-DeSoto Inc.®, shall be to serve its members by enhancing their skills and opportunities to operate their business successfully, ethically and professionally while preserving private property rights.
