Punta Gorda, which means “broad point” in Spanish, is bound by Charlotte Harbor on one side and the Peace River on the other. Drive across the bridge at sunset and you will see why so many people come to visit and decide to stay! Punta Gorda is a diverse mix of age groups, as working people, retirees and “snowbirds” all share in the beauty and offerings of this small, friendly city. There is always something to do in Punta Gorda! Fish, golf, sun, done, power or sailboat, or just “kick back” – it’s yours for the taking!
